The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Our local council provides men of the parish with opportunities to grow in their faith, serve those in need, support parish life, and build lasting friendships with fellow Catholic men. Through charitable works, volunteer service, family activities, and spiritual formation, the Knights play an active role in strengthening both our parish and the wider community.
Catholic men who are interested in serving Christ through faith-filled fellowship are warmly invited to learn more and consider joining our council in Kalida, Ohio.
The K of C Hall
The Fr. Michael Meuhe K of C Hall, located at 718 Napoleon Road in Kalida, Ohio 45853, is available to be rented out by Knights and by members of the public. The following links provide information regarding hall rentals.
Financial Products from the Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a Fortune 800 Company that offers all areas of insurance/retirement to its members.
Whole Life Plans (Permanent Insurance)- These plans offer a death benefit, cash value earning dividends and interest within the policy, and depending on the amount you select a chronic illness rider that can assist with nursing home care in the event of a chronic illness. All of this is tax free!! If you have all your money in qualified accounts, we may want to look at moving some/all into a whole life plan where there are no taxes.
Term Insurance- Insurance that is for a specific term. The terms are usually 10, 15 or 20 years.
Long Term Care- No retirement plan is final without a long-term care insurance. Most think that this is just nursing home care, but these plans can provide in house support rather than moving to a nursing home.
Survivorship Universal Life- These plans leave benefits after the death of a second person.
Mutual Funds- Soon, we will be able to offer Knights of Columbus mutual funds. The Knights of Columbus are moving from an insurance Company to a Financial Advising company like other financial institutions. The biggest difference is our mutual funds are filled with companies that align with our Catholic faith!
